Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association (PSCA) presents the 16th Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show on Saturday, February 10, 9am to 3pm at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. This renowned event is one of the largest one-day car shows in California and the oldest car show in the Coachella Valley.  On the corner of Fred Waring and Washington, over 1,000 vehicles will be displayed over 18 acres.  PSCA hosts this unique show each year to raise much needed fund for Desert Cancer Foundation, with 100% of the net proceeds going to the local organization that provides financial assistance for cancer screenings and treatments for Valley residents.  Since 2005, PSCA’s Dr. George Charity Car Show has donated over $770,000 to Desert Cancer Foundation.

16th Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show will feature exhibitors from all over the country showcasing classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, street rods, antiques, restored and original collectable cars, trucks and motorcycles.  The event includes a beer garden and nearly 80 vendors offering food, clothing, and a variety of car related items, plus raffles. There will also be a new progressive raffle with a chance to win up to $2,000.

Featured special guests include Allen Grant, the legendary Ford/Shelby race driver; Peter Brock, famed designer of the iconic 1963 Corvette and the 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe; and Jim McGee, the most successful Indy Car team manager in history.  Andreas Somogyi and several members of the A-team from the hit car show “Overhaulin’”, will also be on hand for photos and autographs while showing off their own classic cars.

The 16th Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show is named in honor of the late Dr. Sebastian George, a highly regarded oncologist and co-founder of Desert Cancer Foundation. For over 20 years, Desert Cancer Foundation has provided financial support to underinsured/uninsured local Coachella Valley residents in the midst of cancer care for screenings, diagnostic services, and treatment. Each dollar donated to Desert Cancer Foundation translates into over $10 in cancer care.   This year’s sponsors include Forest Lawn, Mecum Auctions, CartMart, Palm Springs Motors and the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The 16th Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show takes place on Saturday, February 10 at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens from 9am to 3pm. The cost of admission is $5, children under 12 and active military are free. The cost to register a vehicle for show is $40.  For more information, visit www.desertcancerfoundation.org.
